In May 2003 we spent a weekend in the beautiful peninsular of Kintyre - which is part of Argyle and Bute on the west coast of Scotland. I guess it has been made famous by the Paul McCartney song about the Mull at the bottom of the peninsular. We stayed in an old castle, Stonefield Castle, which used to be the seat of the Campbell Clan. It is right on the edge of the loch with terrific views, and had a very fine dinning room overlooking the extensive gardens, with splendid food. This is my bit for the Scottish tourist business....
